Since the government shall make no law regarding church or religion, then the only power they have over religious organizations is from a tax stand point. The IRS ends up deciding who and what is considered a church or religious organization and they can only do this if you file the paper work to become a religious organization for tax purposes....but none of this is necessary. You can have a religion and church for that religion without permission.
